Shara Proctor brought her indoor season to a close with a creditable fourth place at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland.

Proctor finished agonising close to a medal, just missing out after a best jump of 6.68 in the Women’s Long Jump final.

Shara qualified with an indoor season’s best of 6.69 to place her third highest in qualifying and commented before the final…

“I couldn’t be happier, that’s all I needed to do. I didn’t get the big Q, but I was third in qualifying and good enough to make the final. I always come out to challenge for the medals and I feel in great shape.”
